The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in Iraq has announced three projects that will ease Baghdad’s traffic jams.

During a press conference, spokesman of the cabinet secretariat Haider Majid told reporters that “there are several projects to relieve the traffic bottlenecks, including the five entrances to the capital project.”

According to his statement, some of those projects were jointly implemented.

The spokesman has assured that the Metro project of Baghdad will be soon included in the budget.

He stressed that “there is a coordination between the Ministry of Transport General Directorate of Traffic and the relevant authorities for the train road and designs.”

The 96-kilometers-long ring road project which is currently in the design phase will be completed in four phases, Haider Majid has confirmed in the statement given at the conference.
