The new initiatives are expected to support environmental and water sustainability in accordance with the objectives of the country’s Vision 2030 reform plan.
The projects include developing water resources, desalinated water transmission, production and storage of desalinated water, and environmental services, said the local reports.
The new projects, which aim at sustainability, come a day after the agriculture minister announced that Saudi Arabia has enough food stocks to not worry about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the resulting in disruption of food supply.
