Jordan’s Ministry of Labor on Sunday decided to allow non-Jordanian workers who face deportation to rectify their status.

The grace period decision included undocumented expats, who are currently still in the Kingdom, and are now allowed to obtain work permits, according to the ministry’s procedures in force.

The ministry said the guest workers must regularise their status and pay work permit fees and fines for delays in issuing these permits.

The deadline for rectifying status of these non-Jordanian workers expires on September 1.
