Riyadh – Saudi Arabia is steadfast in its commitment to achieving economic diversification and creating new job opportunities for its citizens through investments in innovative industries based on Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, said Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef.

He emphasized that the Kingdom’s participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in 2024 in Davos, Switzerland, highlights its significant role in tackling global challenges, especially in supply chains and capacity building. Alkhorayef noted that the Kingdom’s involvement in the meeting underscores its pivotal role in the transition toward carbon neutrality.

The minister pointed out that Saudi Vision 2030 aligns with crucial global issues like climate change, sustainable development, and innovation.

He remarked that Saudi Arabia’s presence at this event offers an opportunity for dialogue with key private sector entities globally. This interaction aims to foster collaboration on these issues and boost economic and developmental initiatives across various Saudi sectors, including industry, mining, research, development, and innovation.

Alkhorayef also mentioned that the Davos meeting provides a platform for showcasing Saudi Arabia’s significant efforts and progress in these areas.

Furthermore, the minister stressed the vital importance of international partnerships in addressing contemporary challenges, particularly in food, water, energy, and securing sustainable global supply chains.

He concluded by stating that these collaborations are crucial for ensuring reliable access to essential minerals, which are key to supporting the global shift towards clean energy transformation.
