Dubai: Beginning Aug 9, all airlines operating from Saudi Arabia can carry citizens on international flights provided they have received all doses of the Covid-19 vaccines approved in the kingdom, except for the passengers under the age of 12.
Local media reports said the an order issued by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) requires travelers under the age of 12 to present an insurance document approved by the Saudi Central Bank that covers the risks of COVID-19 infection outside the Kingdom.
Eligible for travel abroad also are the citizens who recovered from Covid-19 infection less than six months ago and those who contracted corona more than six months ago and received a single dose of one of the approved vaccines.
The GACA has said it continues to ensure preventive measures at the kingdom’s airports, including binding all authorities concerned and air transport companies operating at the Kingdom’s airports to comply with health safety requirements and preventive measures.
