Jordan and US look to broaden ‘deep-rooted’ partnership

Jordan and the United States have discussed ways to boost cooperation in various fields and to broaden the ‘deep-rooted strategic’ partnership between the two countries.

In this regard, Ayman Safadi, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, met with Elizabeth Allen, US Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs.

Safadi lay stress on the importance of US assistance provided to support the kingdom’s development process and face consequences of regional crises.

The two looked at ways to boost Jordan-US cooperation in various fields and stressed the “deep-rooted, strategic” partnership between the two countries and their keenness to develop it, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
