Most Arab youth against normalization with Israel, more so Palestinians: survey

  • Other Arab countries with most opposition among youth to any normalization with Israel include Libya (98%) followed by Sudan (97%), Jordan (97%), Kuwait (86%) and others

Dubai, UAE – The majority of Arab youth are against the normalization of relations with Israel, with Palestinians and Iraqis being the most vehemently opposed, the 2023 Arab Youth Survey reveals.

However, those from the UAE, Morocco and Egypt are supporting it. 

What is more, the normalization is opposed by the 98% of youth in Saudi Arabia, the biggest Arab power which is currently engaged in a US-sponsored dialogue to normalize relations with Israel. 

Other Arab countries with most opposition among youth to any reconciliation with Israel include Libya (98%) followed by Sudan (97%), Jordan (97%), Kuwait (86%), Tunisia (85%), Yemen (81%), Syria (81%), Algeria (69%), Oman (61%), Bahrain (53%), South Sudan (53%), 

On the other hand, only 44% youth in Morocco, 16% in UAE and 12% in Egypt.
