The United States National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan made a phone call onThursday to the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
During the conversation, the two sides discussed the partnership between the US and Kuwait, regional security, and ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields.
Later, the NSA in a statement said the phone call addressed “the US-Kuwait partnership and regional security” and congratulated Kuwait Prime Minister on his appointment on behalf of President Biden.
“Together they discussed strengthening the US-Kuwait relationship in light of the historic Jeddah Summit and the need to turn the UN-mediated truce in Yemen into a lasting settlement,” the statement read. “Mr. Sullivan also thanked Kuwait for its generous humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people.”
