King Khalid airport best performer in Nov in high passenger rush category

Saudi civil aviation authorities rank airports on the basis of 14 criteria.

.Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation issued its monthly report on the performance of the kingdom’s international and domestic airports for the month of November 2022.

The performance is based on 14 basic criteria such as waiting time at customs, baggage and passport control.

In the category of airports with annual passenger rush of 15 million and above, King Khalid International Airport and King Abdulaziz International Airport were the top performers with a compliance rate of 73 percent and 64 percent respectively on these parameters.

King Fahad International Airport (93 percent) and Prince Mohammed International Airport (82 percent) were the top performers in the category of airports with annual passenger load of 5 million to 15 million.

In the third category of international airports with 2-5 million passengers annually, Abha International Airport ranked first with a 100 commitment rate, while King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jizan came second with a commitment rate of 88 percent.

 Al-Jouf Airport ranked first with a 100 percent commitment rate in the fourth category with less than two million passengers annually, outperforming the competing airports in the total average waiting times for departure and arrival flights.

In the fifth category for domestic airports, Al-Qurayyat Airport ranked first, achieving 100%, outperforming all competing airports in terms of average waiting times for departure and arrival flights.
