Miral, Warner Bros announce two new DC attractions for Yas Island

  • Kryptonite Collider opens in July with a centrifuge-style experience inspired by Lex Luthor's Everyman Project.
  • Superman Up and Away, a next-generation flying roller coaster, is targeted for completion in 2028.

Dubai, UAE — Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have announced two new DC-themed attractions for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, expanding the indoor theme park’s entertainment offering on Yas Island.

The additions, Kryptonite Collider and Superman Up and Away, represent the latest phase of investment in the attraction as Abu Dhabi seeks to strengthen its tourism and leisure sector.

New ride opens in July

Kryptonite Collider is scheduled to open to visitors on July 26.

The attraction places guests inside a centrifuge-style ride vehicle designed to simulate a high-energy experiment powered by kryptonite.

The experience begins in the queue area, where visitors are recruited as participants in Lex Luthor’s fictional Everyman Project before being propelled through a motion-based journey featuring onboard audio, lighting effects and digital displays.

The attraction can accommodate 32 riders per cycle.

Superman coaster planned

The second attraction, Superman Up and Away, is expected to be completed in 2028.

Miral said the ride will be a next-generation flying roller coaster that positions guests face-down alongside Superman during a mission through Metropolis.

Additional details about the attraction will be released closer to completion.

Partnership deepens

Jonathan Brown, Miral’s Chief Portfolio Officer, said the new rides reflect the continued evolution of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and reinforce the long-term partnership between Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Simon Robinson, President of Global Experiences & Studio Operations at Warner Bros. Discovery, said the attractions demonstrate the company’s commitment to expanding immersive experiences around its DC intellectual property.

Tourism ambitions

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi currently features six themed lands based on some of the entertainment company’s most recognisable characters and franchises.

The new attractions form part of broader efforts to enhance Yas Island’s appeal as a regional tourism and entertainment hub, complementing existing leisure assets across the destination.
