Saudi Arabia and Bahrain recently held a meeting to discuss these road projects

Saudi Arabia has invested around BD245 million ($650.83 million) in the road sector of Bahrain, local reports quoted a top Works Ministry official as saying on Saturday, July 24.
The reports said the Arab country did this through the Saudi Fund for Development, a government agency.
Bahrain’s Undersecretary for Works Affairs Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayat revealed this during a meeting with officials from the fund, said the reports.
He said the meeting was for reviewing the progress of the projects backed by the Saudi fund.
However, the local reports did not specify the time period over which this investment was made.
Bandar bin Abdullah Al Obaid, the Director-General of the Municipalities of the Middle East and North Africa, chaired the meeting from the Saudi side.
The meeting reportedly reviewed the various development phases of the project to improve the Bahrain International Airport.
Other projects discussed included the Al Fateh Street development, Busaiteen Bridge, North Manama Street, East Hidd Housing project, and the intersection of Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Street with Sheikh Isa bin Salman Street, which is also known as the Saar Intersection.
They also reviewed South Bahrain Ring Road, the construction of a road leading to Al-Lawzi housing, Tubli sewage treatment plant, Muharraq Private Health Care Center project, the infrastructure project of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City, and Sports City project in Sakhir, among others, said the reports.
