Kampala, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed Al-Khereiji stressed on Sunday the imperative to halt military operations in the Palestinian territories in a way that ensures the protection of civilians in line with international laws and humanitarian principles.
Speaking on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at the Third South-China Summit in Kampala, Al-Khereiji called for creating a conducive environment for sincere and effective negotiations. He advocated for the two-state solution, citing international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, aiming to secure the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Al-Khereiji underlined the Kingdom’s commitment to the security and stability of the region, expressing support for initiatives fostering cooperation, development, and prosperity. He highlighted the Kingdom’s focus on development issues, humanitarian initiatives, and assistance to least developed communities for a more resilient future.
