Chinese telecom company Huawei on Monday, August 2, launched its new Super Device products in Kuwait and Bahrain, said local reports from those countries.

These devices launched in Kuwait included the MatePad Tablet, MateView standalone monitor, and the MateBook Series, all of which use the Smart Office setup.

Bahrain saw the launch of the MatePad and the MateView as well, said the local reports.

However, it also saw the launch of the Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro, and the Huawei FreeBuds 4.

The reports quoted Steven Li, president of Huawei CBG, Middle East Multi Countries (Oman, Qatar and Bahrain) as saying: “Our goal is to provide consumers in Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain with access to a seamless user experience across multiple devices in all different types of scenarios.”

The market for electronic goods in the Middle-East has seen an upturn ever since the Covid-19 pandemic started last year.

With all activities, from education to office work to business and networking moving indoors, demand for smartphones and personal computers — laptops, desktops, tablets, and others — has skyrocketed in the region.

This is not an isolated trend. Market intelligence firm IDC said worldwide shipments of desktops, notebooks, and workstations reached 83.6 million units in the second quarter of 2021, up 13.2% from the same period in 2020.
