Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and US President Joe Biden discussed on Tuesday the military escalation in Gaza and efforts made to address it.

Receiving a telephone call from Biden, the Crown Prince underlined the necessity of immediate work to explore means of halting the military operations that claimed the lives of innocent people.

He highlighted rejection of the targeting of civilians in any form as well as the targeting of infrastructure and vital facilities that impact their daily lives and forced displacement.

The Crown Prince stressed the need for achieving calm, stopping escalation, and avoiding a situation that affects the security and stability of the region.

He underscored the necessity to comply with international humanitarian law, lift the siege on Gaza, maintain basic services, and allow the entry of humanitarian and medical aid.

The Crown Prince also called for working to restore the peace track to ensure that the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights and in order to achieve fair and comprehensive peace.

Biden expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Crown Prince to de-escalate the situation and ensure it does not expand in the region.
