Dubai FDI invited the investors to seek opportunities in sectors such as food & agribusiness, technology, and healthcare

The Dubai Investment Development Agency, aka Dubai FDI, conducted a series of webinars this year through which it sought investment from interested parties in six countries across the world, it said in a statement on Monday, June 7.

The countries are China, India, Australia, Spain, Italy and the US, with investors from the latter belonging specifically to New York City, the statement added.

Dubai FDI, an agency of Dubai Economy, apparently invited the investors to seek opportunities in sectors such as food & agribusiness, technology, and healthcare.

Ibrahim Ahli, director of the Investment Promotion Department at Dubai FDI, was quoted by the statement as saying: “Focused discussions between potential investors, the Dubai FDI team, and key public and private-sector partners have helped us present the Dubai Advantage globally via webinars to maintain the city’s positioning as one of the world’s top attractors of foreign direct investment.”

The January 12 Dubai Advantage webinar with Chinese investors reportedly covered the food & agribusiness and technology.

Indian and Australian investors participated in a webinar on January 20 on opportunities in Dubai’s healthcare and technology.

The New York investors participated in a February 3 webinar on the technology sector in Dubai.

Italian investors focused on the food & agribusiness sector for the Campania Region in a webinar held on February 16.
