DUBAI: New Abu Dhabi Covid-19 prevention guidelines allow restaurants to operate at 80 percent of their capacities and letting a maximum of 10 people at a table and wearing a mask while moving about.
The rules issued by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) for tourism, cultural and leisure venues will be effective from Aug 20.
Gyms and spas can operate at 50 percent of their capacity, while events such as community events, sports, business exhibitions and conferences including consumer exhibitions, and entertainment such as theatres can operate at 60 percent, provided people adhere to social distancing, face masks and regular sanitization guidelines and Al Hosn Green Pass requirements.
Wedding and event halls may operate at 60 percent capacity provided the number of attendees does not exceed 100 and all preventive measures are implemented.
Attendees of all events, from exhibitions, activities, cultural, social and artistic, will be limited to those who are fully vaccinated within the last six months, and the last three months for vulnerable groups.
A negative PCR test taken within the previous 48 hours will be required with an ‘E’ showing on the Al Hosn app.
Museums, cultural and entertainment venues will be able to operate at 80 percent capacity.
All venues are subject to DCT inspections with violations will face legal measures.
