Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), at Expo 2020 Dubai to discuss the nuclear energy program of the country.

Al Nahyan and Grossi hailed the cooperation between the two sides, adding this cooperation had resulted in the development of UAE’s peaceful nuclear energy program that upholds the highest standards of safety, security and non-proliferation, local media reports said.

The two sides reviewed the role of Expo 2020 Dubai in promoting international cooperation and building effective and fruitful partnerships between countries in various sectors.

The reports said Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to further develop its cooperation with the IAEA in various fields, including training and building national capacities.
