Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi has directed contracting with investment companies to build infrastructure in the areas where residential land will be distributed as part of the Dari initiative.
The Iraqi General Secretariat of the cabinet confirmed this on Tuesday.
“The process of handing over plots to those covered by the (Dari) initiative launched by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is carried out in the form of steps,” Haidar Majid, spokesman for the Cabinet Secretariat, told the local media.
“Al-Kadhimi informed the Ministry of Reconstruction of the contract with investment companies for the purpose of establishing the full infrastructure of the places”, noted Haidar Majid.
The “residential parts will be distributed”, and service buildings will be “built from health and school centers so that they are habitable,” he said.
During its meeting on September 22, 2021, the cabinet voted on the mechanism for the distribution of residential land in accordance with the Dari initiative.
The Planning Minister Khaled Batal indicated that loans would be provided from government banks to citizens covered by residential land.
