Qatar wins presidency of Arab Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments

Qatar won the presidency of the Arab Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (AASGP), in the AASGP elections held Friday in Cairo.

The country is represented by Secretary-General of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala

In his speech at the meeting, Secretary-General of the Shura Council expressed his deep thanks and gratitude for the confidence of the AASGP and his election as its chairman.

Also,  Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala expressed his aspiration for cooperation, solidarity, and work in a spirit of brotherhood to assume this responsibility to develop and advance the AASGP performance to achieve its goals, serve the Arab parliaments, and achieve the hopes of the peoples of the region.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Egyptian House of Representatives was elected vice-chairman of AASGP. Also, the members of the AASGP executive committee were elected. The meeting reviewed a report on AASGP work and discussed its future activities.Â
