Global Village, Dubai’s multicultural family shopping and entertainment destination, has started its Season 27 preparations, which will begin in October 2022, bringing together hundreds of startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators to engage with varied audiences and offering a launch pad for a range of enterprises.

The park has been a hub for extraordinary cultural and entertainment events in recent years, with an expert team on hand to assist entrepreneurs in exploring new prospects and forming collaborations. It provides a great platform for SMEs to test new and innovative business concepts while gaining the knowledge needed to develop and manage their firms and, eventually, achieve their goals.

Naveen Jain, Director of Business Development at Global Village

Speaking to TRENDS, Naveen Jain, Director of Business Development at Global Village stated that the park allows entrepreneurs to seamlessly move their ideas from concept to reality without long-term commitments, as well as the support they need to achieve a return on their

With low risk, a history of high return on investment and a level of support that is hard to beat, Global Village is a great place to pilot new concepts, or introduce an international business to the UAE. Over 60% of partners were new to Global Village in Season 26 and every year we see concepts launched in the park establishing themselves in the wider UAE community. Some, like Bosnian Kebab, have become household names and others, like Old Tbilisi, are just starting out on their journey, he said.

What’s different this year!

Global Village Season 26 recorded a breaking 7.8 million guests visited the park, according to Jain.

“As part of our Season 27 preparations, we spend a significant amount of time evaluating data and feedback to ensure that we are meeting the expectations of our guests and partners. We then go inventive to exceed those expectations. For example, we saw a more than 300 percent rise in cashless transactions during Season 26, so in Season 27, we will ensure that all our locations take credit/debit cards and GVPay”, he added.

The Global Village team is working hard to ensure that the forthcoming season is a new adventure filled with attractions and experiences that will excite the guests, from refining existing offers to putting together a fresh line-up of new events and attractions.

Unique facilities and services

For entrepreneurs considering joining Global Village’s ecosystem a range of advantages are waiting them, starting with the Partner Happiness Centre which offers everything from visa services to insurance, storage facilities and support at customs for imported products.

“Ù‹ We also have a specialized team who simplify processes such as Federal Tax Authority (FTA) registration and acquiring electronic payment terminals, ” Jain said, adding that all of these services are now available with the click of a button through the GV Partners App, which provides partners with access to a personalized business dashboard with real-time updates on applications and requests.

He went on to say that the new award-winning Global Village App helps guests find information on businesses and locate outlets through the GPS-powered venue navigation system.

It’s worth mentioning that the village has also launched the GV Pay wallet, which allows all partners to offer contactless payments at highly competitive rates for their outlets, ensuring smooth and seamless business operations.

Jain explained that one of the benefits of launching a business at the park is the strong marketing expertise, which allows our partners to concentrate on their service and products whilst we drive the footfall.  All these platforms help drive footfall and ensure new businesses get the attention they deserve.
