Doha hosts triathlon federations’ meeting to develop sport

A meeting of the GCC triathlon federations was held in Doha to discuss proposals for the development of sports in the region.

The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 2021 Asian Triathlon Cup, (Doha 2021) discussed the proposal to establish the Gulf triathlon league. Federations of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE were present.

President of the Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation, Dr. Mohammed Jaham Al Kuwari, welcomed the heads and representatives of the GCC federations and committees in Qatar, stressing the importance of developing a mechanism to move forward in the steps of establishing the Gulf Triathlon Federation.

Al Kuwari praised the good participation of the athletes of the Gulf countries in the recent Asian championship.
