E-marketing reduce prices of poultry products by up to 20% in Saudi

  • Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture recently set up a company to market Saudi agricultural products in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia–Saudi Poultry Producers Committee has said that use of some applications in marketing has helped consumers obtain products at prices that are up to 20 percent lower than normal prices.

The committee, which held a meeting with several major poultry production companies, recommended producers to benefit from modern technologies in marketing operations, and the use of electronic applications, to reduce the cost on the product and the consumer, as it contributes to linking them to various sales outlets, which helps them to open new marketing channels, identify consumer requirements, in addition to adjusting the mechanism of their marketing policies followed, SPA reported.

The committee explained that electronic marketing of agricultural products contributes to achieving many benefits and returns for farmers, including saving time, effort and money, reducing costs, and contributing to finding alternatives, multiple options and freedom of choice. and marketing, as well as improving effective communication with partners and customers, and the ability to control product quality, transportation and storage.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has also been advising farmers to move towards e-marketing, and the ministry is constantly working to raise the marketing efficiency of agricultural products, by reducing marketing supply chains, and encouraging farmers and producers to market their products through platforms and electronic applications, to achieve greater profits, and to save time and effort.

The ministry also recently announced the establishment of a company to market Saudi agricultural products in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers, to stimulate agricultural production, achieve electronic linkage between markets and agricultural holdings in the Kingdom, and develop manufacturing industries for agricultural products.
