Saudi to target 11 decisions for Emiratisation program by 2022 end

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—Saudi Arabia will target 11 new decisions for Emiratisation program in project management, procurement, food and drug sectors before the end of 2022, said Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.

During his meeting with businessmen and women at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh, Al-Rajhi said the decisions to nationalize the sectors, activities and professions have contributed to the increase in the number of Saudis working in the private sector to more than 2.13 million male and female citizens.

Emiratisation has also cut unemployment rate of Saudis to 9.7 percent and increased the rate of economic participation of women by 35.6 percent.

The Minister said that the compliance rate of private sector establishments with the labor system and its regulations reached 98 percent during this year, while more than 74 percent of labor cases were resolved amicably.

The coverage under the wage protection program reached nearly 80 percent, and more than 3.8 million work contracts were documented under the Tawtheeq program.

Digitizing contracts electronically has ensured that the worker and the employer receive a copy of a documented and regular contract.
