Al Aqsa preacher fears takeover of mosque by Israeli government

  • Sabri did not rule out the extreme right-wing Israeli government's attempt to control the Al Aqsa mosque
  • He maintained that the Palestinian cities are sitting on the crater of a volcano

Doha, Qatar— The preacher of the Al Aqsa mosque Sheikh Ekrema Sabri fears takeover of the mosque by the extreme right-wing Israeli government.

He said in an interview with QNA, that they do not rule out the attempt to control the Al Aqsa mosque by the extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, as he had hostile stances towards the Islamic religion and the Palestinian people, and he was famous for his call to kill the Palestinian and deport him from his land.

He denounced the ongoing Israeli aggression against Jenin camp, occupied Jerusalem and all Palestinian cities.

Speaking to media, Sheikh Sabri affirmed that all threats to the Palestinian people do not weaken their position, stressing that the Palestinians are struggling and steadfast people, they defend a just cause of faith, and all aggression, injustice and massacres increase his steadfastness and determination.

On the massacre of the city of Jenin, which led to the death of 9 Palestinians, and the possibility of expanding the Israeli military operations to include occupied Jerusalem and other cities, Sheikh Sabri said what happened in the Jenin camp is a continuation of the war and criminality on which the occupation was based. It is not excluded that the aggression will reach the Al Aqsa mosque and the city of Jerusalem.
