Tehran, Iran – Iran’s membership in the BRICS group will lead to the promotion of exports and trade activities, an official was quoted as saying by local media reports.

Deputy Chairman of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives for Legal Affairs Arsalan Ghasemi said that to tackle economic sanctions by the West against Tehran, joining regional and extra-regional treaties is key to get out of the economic pressures, Tasnim reported.

BRICS is a club of emerging economies that constitute a large population in the world and this opportunity should be used optimally in order to promote exports of the country, he added.

Logical policymaking and decisions will lead to positive achievements for the country after joining BRICS, he said, calling on responsible officials to pave the way for supporting importers, exporters and industrialists in particular.

Economic growth of the BRICS member states requires adopting accurate planning compatible with the requirements of the global markets, the parliamentary deputy of the Iran Chamber of Cooperatives added.
