Israelis raid Al-Aqsa, homes of Palestinians in Ramallah

RAMALLAH, PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES / JERUSALEM – Israeli forces carried out Sunday a series of raids in several towns in the West Bank early on Sunday.

The forces raided the homes of Palestinian citizens in several towns in Ramallah Governorate and Al-Bireh and carried out extensive arrests, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.

The raids targeted the villages of Mazra’a al-Gharbiya, ‘Arura, Birzeit, and Jalazone camp, north and west of the city of Ramallah.

The Israeli forces also stormed the city of Nablus and the town of Zawata and arrested two young men.

The raids areas included Hisbah Street, Amman Street, the vicinity of Al-Rawda College, the Northern Mountain, and other neighborhoods in Nablus.

In Hebron, Israeli forces raided Al-Arroub camp and the towns of Beit Ummar and Bani Na’im, stormed homes, seized vehicles and arrested two civilians, including a child.

Meanwhile, Israeli citizens allegedly stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the police.

According to eyewitnesses, dozens of Israeli citizens stormed Al-Aqsa from the Mughrabi Gate and performed Talmudic rituals, WAFA reported.

The Israeli police stationed at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque also prevented Palestinians from entering, causing the number of worshipers to decrease for the 100th consecutive day.
