Doha, Qatar – The Autonomous e-Mobility (AEMOB) Forum, a groundbreaking initiative in the realm of sustainable transportation, announced its final program and speakers lineup on Tuesday.
Under the patronage of Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, and in partnership with the Ministry of Transport (MOT) of Qatar, the forum is poised to convene global leaders and experts in the field.
The event, slated to take place from April 30 to May 2, 2024, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in Doha, has attracted significant sponsorship from over 20 prominent organizations. Notable sponsors include Mowasalat Company (Karwa), Qatar Railways Company (Rail), and Microsoft Corporation, among others, demonstrating widespread support for the forum’s objectives.
With participation from more than 40 speakers representing 20 countries, including policymakers, industry experts, and academics, the AEMOB Forum promises to be a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences related to electric transportation and self-driving mobility. Keynote speeches, presentations, and panel discussions will feature prominently, supplemented by an exhibition showcasing the latest innovations in the field.
According to Eng. Hamad Essa Abdulla, MOT’s Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Land Transport Affairs, the forum underscores Qatar’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions. With a focus on transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs) and advancing autonomous technologies, Qatar aims to lead by example in addressing global sustainability challenges.
Ahmad Hassan Al Obaidly, CEO of Mowasalat (Karwa), emphasized the importance of sustainable mobility solutions and expressed pride in Mowasalat’s role as the official transport partner for the event. Similarly, Mr. Abdulla Ali Al-Mawlawi, Communication & Public Relations Director at Qatar Rail, highlighted the company’s contributions to sustainable transportation through initiatives such as the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks.
Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Ahmad Al Ansari emphasized the significance of the AEMOB Forum as a platform for advancing discussions on driverless e-mobility. With a focus on real-world applications, the forum aims to accelerate the adoption of autonomous technologies in Qatar and beyond.
