Qatar and Turkey are signing 11 new agreements on Tuesday in addition to existing 80 previous agreements
The signing is to take place at the 7th session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries, chaired by Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In a joint press conference with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu following the preparatory ministerial meeting for the 7th session of the Committee in Doha, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said Qatar was happy to receive Erdogan and the two countries will discuss the development of bilateral relations and regional developments..
He noted that Qatar is working alongside Turkey and the interim government of Afghanistan to reach an agreement to restart the normal operation of Kabul Airport.
His further said that the meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister provided an opportunity to discuss Palestinian issue, on which the views of the two countries coincide. The two countries also discussed developments in Iraq, Syria and Libya.
