Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan ink 6 agreements, MoU

  • The MoU was signed between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Azerbaijan Ministry of Economy

Baku, Azerbaijan  – Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan on Monday signed six agreements and a Memorandum of Understanding during the seventh meeting of the Azerbaijani-Saudi Committee. 

Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Investment, and Samir Sharifov, Azerbaijani Minister of Finance, presided over the committee.

The ministers discussed strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries and investment opportunities.

The Azerbaijani-Saudi Investment Forum also held its meeting. It made many presentations which highlighted the investment opportunities in the two countries followed by meetings between the companies from the two sides.

The agreements included the establishment of the Saudi-Azerbaijan Joint Business Council, and an MoU between the Saudi Fund for Development and the Ministry of Economy in Azerbaijan. There were agreements in the areas of tourism, human resources, construction and infrastructure.
