UAE looks to accelerate trade cooperation with Turkey

The UAE Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) received a trade delegation representing Turkey’s Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), in a meeting that turned out to be mutually beneficial, official sources have said.

The meeting took place at Expo 2020 Dubai, said the sources.

FCCI Secretary-General Hamid Muhammad bin Salem and a number of business owners from the UAE are said to have been present at the meeting.

The two sides reportedly discussed ways to enhance trade ties between FCCI and MÜSİAD.

They are also said to have focused their discussions on the prospects of growing cooperation over the coming period.

The FCCI secretary-general has been quoted by local reports as saying that the privileged relations between the UAE and Turkish private sectors are paving the way for more rewarding cooperation between business owners in the two countries.

He also pointed to the FCCI’s keenness to enhance cooperation with MÜSİAD and utilize the momentum provided by Expo to intensify relations between the two sides.
