Visit Qatar partners with Satguru to attract African tourists from six priority markets

  • Campaigns will promote Qatar through sports, winter sun, outdoor activities, family travel, festive occasions and cultural experiences.
  • Satguru operates in more than 80 countries, with physical offices across 42 African countries supporting market activation.

Visit Qatar has signed a one-year strategic partnership with Satguru Travel & Tours to increase leisure visitor numbers from six priority African markets, expanding its destination marketing and travel trade outreach across the continent.

The agreement, signed at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, builds on a memorandum of understanding between the two organizations at the 2025 event.

The partnership will cover destination marketing, travel trade engagement, travel package development and visitor facilitation. Joint campaigns will focus on four themes: sports and competitions, winter sun and outdoor activities, family and festive travel, and culture and celebrations.

Satguru will lead market activation, engagement with travel trade partners and package development. The company operates in more than 80 countries and has a physical presence in 42 African countries.

Visit Qatar will provide destination content, campaign direction and information on the country’s events calendar to support the initiative.

The partnership is part of Qatar’s efforts to strengthen tourism’s contribution to economic growth and diversification. Visit Qatar said it aims to expand its reach across 11 priority markets spanning Africa, build relationships with travel trade partners and create further opportunities to attract international leisure visitors.
