Dubai Derma 2022 registers $540m in business deals, attracts 21,000 visitors

The last day of the conference touched on several topics like scalp diseases.

The Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition (Dubai Derma 2022) concluded its 21st edition on Wednesday, and registered total business deals worth more than AED2 billion ($540 million).

The volume of business deals highlights the event’s ability to offer a platform for new partnership and investment opportunities for regional and international companies.

Also, the event attracted 21,000 visitors and participants including some of the world’s foremost specialists and experts in the dermatology and cosmetics sector.

The three-day Derma Dubai conference featured 326 scientific lectures, 79 workshops, and more than 90 scientific poster presentations.

It focused on various developments related to cosmetic surgery, lasers, cosmetic dermatology and anti-ageing, among others.

Dr. Hassan Galadari, Head of the Scientific Committee for Dubai Derma Conference, said the “scientific conferences and forums at the event offered international medical institutions an opportunity to exchange new information and ideas.”

“This will influence and shape new conversations in the global medical community, he added.

On the third day of the conference several workshops were hosted that discussed the treatment of fat degradation, new picosecond laser technique, treatment of scars, and microblading.

The last day of the conference also saw a discussion on topics like scalp diseases and treatment, facial irritation, and non-thermal lasers.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Dubai Derma and Chairman of INDEX Holding, stated, “We are very pleased to see high demand and advance bookings from companies for next year’s event.”
