Riyadh Season 2021 ends, welcomes more than 15 million visitors

Middle East’s largest entertainment event, Riyadh Season 2021, which concluded on March 31, welcomed more than 15 million visitors, according to Saudi media reports.

The Season’s second edition was launched on October 20 last year. Organized by the Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, the first edition of the event was launched in 2019 and saw more than 10 million visitors.

Riyadh Season 2021 hosted eight international exhibitions on fashion, technology and communications, electronic games, perfumes, plastic arts, and crafts.

The Season also hosted thousands of music, art, culture, food and sports events across its 13 zones, spanning 5.4 million square meters.

The Riyadh season contributed to supporting the theatrical sector by presenting a package of Arab artistic plays, their performances were carried out in the Boulevard Riyadh City theaters. These theaters also hosted international shows, such as the “Cirque du Soleil Messi 10”, “WWE Crown Jewel”, and the “LES FARFADIS & CO” show, in addition to the “Once Upon a Time” show.

The “Al Murabba” and “Al Azriya” zones were distinguished in highlighting the historical and modern development aspects in the Kingdom, through cafes and restaurants consistent with the design of the traditional Najd homes, the reports said.
