The Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) released the results of its 2021 operational performance in the technology sector and reported significant growth of 21 percent compared to 2020. The business hub currently hosts more than 550 registered companies in the sector – cementing its position as one of AFZ’s strongest business areas.

The positive growth in results indicate the growing confidence of foreign investors and technology companies in AFZ’s offerings in the sector. 

“The results and indicators recorded by AFZ are a testament to the effectiveness of our operational performance and strategies for the technology sector,” Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Ajman Free Zones Authority, said: As we continue our efforts in diversifying our economy, we will make every effort to support the tech community, empowering them to be effective partners in achieving sustainable development.” 

The free zone has also been focusing on developing automation programs to accelerate digital transformation – implementing new initiatives and products like the AI Robotics Hub, which is a one-stop-shop for entrepreneurs, entities, and SMES to explore new business opportunities, network with industry experts, and acquire new skills.
