Aldar records $408 million sales from Yas Point residential launch

  • First-time Aldar buyers accounted for 84 percent of customers, with UAE nationals representing 40 percent of total sales.
  • Expatriate residents and overseas buyers contributed 60 percent of sales, while 47 percent of buyers were under 45.

Dubai, UAE — Aldar said it generated AED1.5 billion ($408 million) in sales from the launch of The Canopies, the first residential community at its Yas Point waterfront development on Yas Island, reflecting continued demand for homes in Abu Dhabi.

The six-building apartment community is the first residential project launched within the Yas Point masterplan. Aldar said additional homes would be released during the second half of 2026.

First-time Aldar buyers accounted for 84 percent of customers purchasing homes at The Canopies.

UAE nationals represented 40 percent of buyers, while expatriate residents and overseas investors accounted for the remaining 60 percent. Buyers from the United Kingdom, India and Egypt ranked among the largest groups by sales volume.

Women accounted for 32 percent of buyers and men 68 percent, while 47 percent of purchasers were under the age of 45.

Aldar said the sales performance reflected sustained demand for residential properties on Yas Island and continued momentum in Abu Dhabi’s real estate market.
