Manama, Bahrain— Bahrain and Thailand have held discussions to enhance economic cooperation in a meeting between top officials of the two countries.
In this regard, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Political Affairs Undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today met Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs at the Thai Foreign Affairs Ministry, on the sidelines of the 19th edition of the Manama Dialogue.
The two sides reviewed the progress made in the political and economic cooperation between the two kingdoms, as well as ways to enhance it, in light of the continuity of their political consultations, and the two countries’ plans to hold the fourth meeting of the High Joint Cooperation Committee, to achieve mutual interests.
They also discussed coordinating stances regarding the Kingdom’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
The two officials also highlighted the two countries’ keenness to consolidate security and peace, as well as support sustainable development goals at the regional and global levels.
