ADNEC launches expansion plans in Abu Dhabi, London

Bitcoin MENA 2024 is set to unite the global and regional Bitcoin community.
  • Building the largest exhibition hall in the Middle East and North Africa region is part of the expansion plans.
  • The company said the expansion plans boost its competitiveness and ability to attract and hold major international events.

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has announced plans to expand its facilities and infrastructure in Abu Dhabi and London.

The company said the expansion plans boost its competitiveness and ability to attract and hold major international events for all sectors.

The development operations at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre include building the largest exhibition hall in the Middle East and North Africa region, boasting an area of 10,000 square meters.

This will be located at the Marina across from the Centre and will be the first of its kind in the region to be located on a waterfront.

The hall will raise the total outdoor space for exhibitions at this area by 70 percent to 24,000 square meters.

Expansion and development work at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will increase the overall interior space for exhibitions by 12 percent to reach 92,000 square meters, while the overall outdoor space for exhibitions will exceed 59,000 square meters, increasing the overall area of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre by seven percent to over 151,000 square meters.

Development work for the ExCeL London center in the UK, which is owned fully by ADNEC, will include beginning the third stage of expanding its facilities.

This involves adding 25,000 square meters of space for exhibitions, establishing new halls for meetings and conferences, and adding several services facilities across three floors, which will increase the center’s overall space by 25 percent to reach 125,000 square meters.

The company said the current and future expansion plans will not impact operations and the hosting of events at these centers.
