Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Sameer bin Abdulla Nass has affirmed the Bahraini private sector’s keenness to strengthen its economic and investment relations with Saudi Arabia, the kingdom’s major investment and commercial partner, media reports said.

He appreciated the depth and solidity of the Bahraini-Saudi economic and investment relations, which are growing steadily due to the interest of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

He praised the role played by Saudi Arabia to enhance the progress and prosperity of the people of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Nass was speaking while receiving on Monday the Bahraini Ambassador-Designate to Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa in Manama.

He hailed the solidity of the long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations, which are progressing steadily across various fields.

BCCI chief reviewed ways to further increase the volume of bilateral trade, including exchanging trade visits and holding bilateral meetings to remove obstacles and highlights, and organizing joint economic events to highlight available investment opportunities in the two kingdoms.

The ambassador-designate to Saudi Arabia affirmed his keenness to open up wider horizons of bilateral cooperation, and strengthen the commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

He also commended the efforts being made by BCCI to enhance the kingdom’s economic cooperation with brotherly countries
