Participants from 42 countries to attend Abu Dhabi Date Palm Conference

The 7th International Date Palm Conference will be held at Emirates Palace Hotel, in Abu Dhabi, from 14th to 16th March, 2022, local media reports said.

A total of 475 international researchers, and experts, from 42 countries are likely to attend the conference.

Minister of Tolerance and Co-existence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al Nahyan said that this year’s conference is significant by all standards, with the number of presented research papers and studies in various aspects of date cultivation, and trade.

It is characterized by comprehensiveness and depth, and involves new and advanced experiences from across the world, where the number of research papers to be presented is 140, with 71 papers presented as posters, he added.

Sheikh Nahyan said in conclusion, “We hope that this conference will achieve all the goals for which it is being held to share knowledge and techniques of date palm cultivation, production and agricultural innovation, aimed at continuous development and achieving sustainable development.”
