Dubai, UAE — The Charitable Jood Eskan Subscription, Saudi Arabia’s campaign for providing housing for low-income families, has entered the Guinness World Records for realizing the highest target for an electronic charitable campaign in one month.

The campaign was launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman on the first day of Ramadan and will continue till the end of the Holy month.

It aims to mobilize charitable bids from generous philanthropists and institutions to support families most in need of housing.

The Jood Eskan crowdfunding platform was launched in 2019 to provide housing for families in need in 2019 by the kingdom’s National Developmental Housing Foundation (Sakan), the nonprofit arm of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing by attracting donors.

The platform had been raising funds from private donors and charities to pay for both rent and home ownership in line with Vision 2030’s housing program, which targets a home for every Saudi national.

To expand the reach of Jood Eskan, Sakan hired Ernst and Young to reorganize the platform for a better online experience for donors.
