Jeff Bennett as the new general manager for the Middle East and Africa region by Husqvarna Construction, a part of Husqvarna AB, local reports have said.

Husqvarna Construction, through this appointment, eyes business growth and increased market share in the MEA region, said the local reports.

Bennett will be expected to achieve that by developing and implementing relevant strategies for the company.

Husqvarna was quoted as saying that the appointment was in line with the organization’s plan to redefine its regional structure and focus more on strategies to grow in emerging markets.

Bennett’s broader responsibilities would include implementing strategic measures to achieve rapid growth in emerging markets, as well as finding ways to shape the company future.

He is also expected to spearhead the organization’s efforts to arrive at a competitive position in the region.

Bennett has spent two decades in the upper management of companies like Allegion and Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, said the local reports.

He was quoted by the reports as saying: “Emerging markets continue to provide significant opportunities for our sector.”

The local reports quoted Andre Menezes, Director of Emerging Markets and Stone Sales and Services, Husqvarna Construction, as saying about the appointment: “The knowledge and experience that Jeff brings further strengthen our leadership team, and I am fully confident that his approach and strategies will lead the company to greater heights of success.”
