Arab League welcomes UN report on Israeli conduct in Palestinian territories

Cairo, Egypt— The Arab League has welcomed the report issues by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Al-Quds.

The report documented in detail Israeli policies and procedures that form crimes as per the International Criminal Law, including war crimes representing by transferring part of its civil population to occupied lands, and crimes against humanity represented by forcible deportation or transfer.

Assistant Arab League Secretary General for the Affairs of Palestine and Arab Occupied Territories Dr. Said Abu Ali, in a statement today, praised the efforts on the international commission and the findings of its report.

He said the contents of the report are an important addition to the series of positions and reports issued by the UN and human rights international institutions, documenting the crimes of the Israeli occupation and its violations against Palestinians, lands and holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Secretary General stressed the importance of the accountability and trail of leaders and officials of the Israeli occupation for their crimes and big violations to human rights, calling on the international community to take procedures to protect the rights of the Palestinian people and working towards ensuring justice for Palestinians to receive their legitimate rights and end the occupation.
