Iran readies to finalize document on wider cooperation with Oman

Tehran, Iran — Iran has expressed its readiness to finalize the provisions of a strategic document on comprehensive cooperation with Oman.

In a telephonic conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi exchanged views on issues of mutual interest in bilateral, regional and international arenas.

Amirabdollahian highlighted Iran’s readiness to finalize the provisions of a strategic comprehensive cooperation document between the two countries.

He also appreciated the efforts by the Sultan of Oman and talked about Iran’s stances on the trend of talks aimed at lifting the sanctions.

Badr Albusaidi, in turn, stressed his country’s preparedness to enhance bilateral ties as well as regional cooperation with Iran.

The Omani foreign minister further noted that his country stands ready to keep playing a constructive role in the issues of mutual concern.

Amirabdollahian thanks Qatar foreign minister

The foreign minister of Iran appreciated Qatar for its role in the release of Iranian assets blocked in foreign countries.

In a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stressed the need to broaden the friendly relations between the two countries.

He also lauded the Qatari government’s positive role and its high-ranking officials’ constructive efforts in regional and international developments.

For his part, the Qatari foreign minister expressed satisfaction with the friendly ties between Doha and Tehran. He also called for the continuation of close consultations between the two countries.
