Saudi Nazaha, Interpol discuss ways to enhance cooperation

LYON, FRANCE – President of Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority ‘Nazaha’ Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous on Friday visited the headquarters of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) here.

The Saudi and Interpol staff discussed several topics of common interest.   

The two sides discussed cooperation between Nazaha and Interpol in the field of combating corruption and cross-border crimes.

The two sides deliberated on enhancing cooperation with relevant global  organizations within regional and international frameworks and agreements, and discussed the challenges associated with combating corruption and crime.

The discussions also touched on recovering funds and assets related to corruption cases, pursuing fugitive defendants in corruption cases and bringing them to justice.

The visit comes in response to the invitation of the Secretary-General of Interpol Jürgen Stock to the President of Nazaha to discuss measures taken by the organization in combating crimes and the movement of illicit funds and their recovery.
