New York, Washington – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit Turkey within the next two months, as reported by The Times of Israel.
The initial plan for Netanyahu’s visit to Turkey was in July; however, it had to be postponed due to his pacemaker implantation. Erdogan stated, “I believe Netanyahu’s postponed visit to Turkey will occur sometime between October and November, and discussions are ongoing to determine the most suitable timing.”
American Rabbi Marc Schneier, a prominent representative of the US Jewish community, provided insights into the atmosphere during the Erdogan-Netanyahu meeting, according to Daily Sabah. Schneier’s description was notably optimistic, characterizing the encounter as “positive and heartfelt,” going beyond standard diplomatic pleasantries.
Schneier also pointed out that one of the most significant signs of this positive shift is Netanyahu’s planned visit to Ankara.
