Russia plans visa-free travel with Latin American countries

MOSCOW, RUSSIA – A senior Russian official said that they intend to move towards visa-free travel with all countries of Latin America.

Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Latin American Department Alexander Shchetinin said that this is an achievable goal.

Shchetinin told TASS about the to move towards visa-free travel on the sidelines of the “Russia – Latin America” conference.

On being asked about Russia’s plans to introduce visa-free travel with all countries of Latin America, the diplomat said, “This is a task we set for ourselves, and I think we will arrive at this.”

“We will move [toward visa abolition] with the Caribbean countries,” Shchetinin said.
