  • Mohammed bin Salman, who is visiting Greece and France, will meet the leaders of both countries 'to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields'
  • Greek and Saudi private business groups are expected to sign agreements in the fields of maritime transport, aquaculture, waste management, culture, food and agricultural products

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had embarked on a visit to Greece and France on Tuesday.

Mohammed bin Salman will meet the leaders of both France and Greece “to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields,” the official Saudi Press Agency reported.

The trip comes less than two weeks after US President Joe Biden visited Jeddah for a summit of Arab leaders and met one-on-one with Saudi Crown Prince, greeting him with a fist bump.

During the visit, the Crown Prince will hold official talks with Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and French President Emmanuel Macron. The Crown Prince will discuss with the two leaders bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields, in addition to issues of common interest.

In Athens, Greek and Saudi private business groups are expected to sign agreements in the fields of maritime transport, aquaculture, waste management, culture, food and agricultural products, construction and defence technology.

The agreements will be signed on the side line of a high-level business meeting on Wednesday at the Grande Bretagne hotel.

Mohammed bin Salman also recently received a recent boost from Turkish President Erdogan, who visited Saudi Arabia in April, then welcomed the Saudi Crown Prince in Ankara in June.
