Doha, Qatar – The Total Broad Money Supply (M2) recorded about QR 675 billion (US$185.4bn) in Qatar during July 2022, displaying a Y-o-Y increase of 10.6%, the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) said in its report.
Cash equivalents, including Commercial Bank Deposits, attained for approximately QR 965 billion ($265bn) during July 2022.
It recorded an annual increase of 1.2 percent compared to July 2021, when deposits recorded approximately QR 954 billion ($262bn).
General index of the Qatar Stock Exchange increased in July 2022 at a monthly rate of 9.7 percent compared to June 2022, with an annual increase of 24.3 percent compared to July 2021.
Around 150,000 visitors reached Qatar, with a monthly increase of 3.3 percent compared to June 2022, and an annual increase of 292.9 percent compared to June 2021.
While 62 percent of the tourists visited from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, visitors by land represented the highest percentage at 55 percent.
Social Security statements reached QR 78 million in July 2022, for 14,495 beneficiaries, recording a monthly decrease of 0.2 percent for the value of social security.
It also displayed a monthly increase of 0.4 percent for the number of beneficiaries of Social Security.
Total number of building permits reached 550 during July 2022, recording a monthly decrease of 27.2 percent and an annual increase of 3.4 percent.
The population of Qatar increased from 2.38 million during July 2021 to 2.66 million at end of June 2022.
Total electricity consumption during July 2022 was 5,548.6 GWh attaining a monthly increase of 7.4 percent and an annual increase of 0.7 percent.
