Ajman rental contracts reach $792 million in first half

  • The emirate recorded 73,472 registered rental contracts as authorities highlighted sustained demand for housing and investment during the period.
  • Officials linked the activity to Ajman’s efforts to strengthen infrastructure, smart services, legislation and its broader investment environment.

Dubai, UAE — The total value of rental contracts registered in Ajman reached approximately AED2.91 billion during the first half of 2026, across 73,472 contracts, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department said on Monday.

The figures reflected sustained activity in the emirate and its growing appeal as a destination for living, investment and doing business, the department said.

The results are in line with Ajman Vision 2030, which aims to create a competitive business environment and investment climate that supports economic growth and enhances programmes to promote and attract investment.

Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, director-general of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, said the emirate continued to consolidate its position as an integrated destination, supported by flexible legislation, advanced infrastructure and smart services.

These measures facilitate customer journeys and enhance quality of life and community wellbeing, he said.

Ajman continues to meet the needs of residents and investors while supporting the emirate’s comprehensive and sustainable development, Al Nuaimi said.

He said the results demonstrated growing confidence in Ajman and reflected efforts to provide a supportive environment for individuals and business owners.

Those efforts seek to meet their aspirations and keep pace with continued growth across sectors that contribute to sustainable economic development, he added.

Yousef Mohammed Al Sheiba Al Nuaimi, executive director of the Rental Regulation Sector at the department, said the indicators confirmed continued activity in rental contracts and sustained demand for housing and investment.

The department remained committed to developing the rental regulation ecosystem and using the latest smart technologies and advanced systems, he said.
