New York, US – Citigroup has appointed Hamza Girach and Rizwan Shaikh as co-heads of emerging markets in its banking, capital markets, and advisory division in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Reuters reported.

Shaikh and Girach have worked at the bank for about 20 years. Girach was a member of the group that covered Saudi Aramco’s historic IPO in 2019.

Citi has also named Miguel Azevedo chairman of emerging markets EMEA investment banking.
